Guy Ritchie's The Covenant is a gripping war drama that tells the story of Master Sgt. John Kinley and his interpreter Ahmed Abdullah during the Afghanistan war. Kinley's squad is tasked with locating enemy IED sites and weapons, and when they need a new local go-between, they recruit Ahmed, who displays a sixth sense when it comes to local deception.

When Kinley is wounded and left on the verge of death, Ahmed risks his life to save him over the course of several days. However, after Kinley is sent back to the States to recuperate, he realizes that Ahmed and his family have been left in danger as they were promised U.S. visas that were not delivered. Kinley then puts his life on the line to repay his debt and rescue his friend. The movie is a tale of personal sacrifice, valiant fighting, and enduring love.
