Maniac

Two struggling strangers connect during a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial involving a doctor with mother issues and an emotionally complex computer.

Two strangers, Annie and Owen, sign up for a pharmaceutical test program. Over the program's course, previously-undiscovered parts of their minds and memories are revealed to them; also, their dreams and subconsciousnesses are becoming interconnected.

But unknown to them, danger is present: the giant computer that runs the tests has gone rogue and is threatening to destroy the program.
