Man of God

Exiled unjustly, convicted without trial, slandered without cause. Man of God depicts the trials and tribulations of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, as he bears the unjust hatred of his enemies while preaching the Word of God.

"Man of God" brings to life the incredible, true story of Saint Nectarios of Aegina, Greece. He was a priest of the common people, and his humility bothered the prideful Orthodox clergy of that time.

In stark contrast to his religious superiors - the bishops and patriarchs who were captivated by worldly honors and power - Nectarios cared for the poor. He taught peasant girls to read and write, set an example that inspired young men to enter the priesthood, and authored books and delivered sermons that uplifted nations of believers.
