In 1960, seven pre-teen outcasts fight an evil demon who poses as a child-killing clown. Thirty years later, they reunite to stop the demon once and for all when it returns to their hometown.
The 1990 film adaptation of Stephen King's novel "IT" follows a group of childhood friends in the town of Derry, Maine, who are terrorized by a malevolent entity that takes the form of a clown named Pennywise. The film alternates between their experiences as children in the 1950s and their reunion as adults 30 years later, as they band together to face the creature once and for all.
As they confront their deepest fears and memories, the group discovers that It has been responsible for a string of gruesome murders in Derry for centuries, and that defeating It may require them to face a horrifying truth about the town and its history. The film stars Tim Curry as Pennywise and features a memorable performance from child actor Jonathan Brandis as Bill Denbrough, the group's de facto leader. "IT" has become a cult classic and remains a popular horror film to this day.
