A woman discovers the world's greatest wine collection that's left by her estranged father and competes against a Japanese man to claim her inheritance.
Drops of God follows the story of Shizuku Kanzaki, a young wine critic who has no interest in wine. When his father, a famous wine connoisseur, passes away, he leaves behind his vast collection of wines, including 13 "apostles," to whoever can identify and describe them in detail. Shizuku and his adopted brother, Issei Tomine, a top sommelier, compete against each other to inherit their father's legacy.
As they travel around the world, visiting vineyards and tasting wine, they encounter various challenges and obstacles. Along the way, they meet other wine experts, including Miyabi Shinohara, a wine-loving sommelier, and Sara, a mysterious woman with a deep connection to Shizuku's father. The competition between Shizuku and Issei intensifies, leading to a dramatic and emotional conclusion.
