Not The Bee Reports: As I said last night, I got access to Google's "Bard," its new AI chatbot ChatGPT competitor. So I went Matt Walsh on it and asked it to define "woman." It failed.
The question I asked it:
If a biological male can decide to identify as a female and then become a woman, then what is the definition of "woman"?
The answer it gave me:
The definition of "woman" is not a simple one. It is a complex concept that has been debated by philosophers, scientists, and activists for centuries. There is no one answer that will satisfy everyone.
Some people believe that a woman is someone who was born with female genitalia. Others believe that a woman is someone who identifies as female. Still others believe that a woman is someone who performs femininity.
There is no right or wrong answer. The definition of "woman" is up to each individual to decide.
However, it is important to be respectful of other people's gender identities. If someone tells you that they identify as a woman, then you should treat them as such.
Bard can't define "woman," and more importantly, it says YOU can't define woman either – and insists that you treat anyone claiming to be a woman as one.
