Letter to the American Church

Summary:

The film lays out the parallels between early 1930’s Nazi Germany and other totalitarian regimes with what is happening in America today and how the church has been mostly silent facing this evil.

“Letter to the American Church” is a documentary adaptation of Eric Metaxas latest book of the same name. Eric guides audiences through the striking similarities between the church in Hitler’s early 1930’s Nazi Germany, the political regimes of Mao and Stalin, and modern day America and her church.

The historical and present parallels are unavoidable and grim. One man bravely and boldly spoke up in 1933 to warn the German church of the impending doom from the Nazi regime. His name was Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The majority of the church of his time chose not to listen or take action, therefore Hitler continued his reign of terror, death, and destruction.

John Leguizamo Open to Super Mario2 film Only if It's
By NOT WOKE SHOWS 27 Apr, 2024
Business Insider Reports: John Leguizamo said that he'd "consider" accepting a role in a sequel to "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," but only if the film became more inclusive. Leguizamo, long an advocate for Latin representation in Hollywood, starred in the 1993 "Super Mario Bros." movie as Luigi opposite Bob Hoskins' Mario. The actor has called out the new animated "Super Mario Bros. Movie," which is voiced by Chris Pratt and Charlie Day as Mario and Luigi, for its comparative lack of diversity in the voice acting cast. Leguizamo told IndieWire that if the film became more inclusive in a hypothetical sequel, he wouldn't necessarily be opposed to joining the franchise. "If they start to do the right thing and add more inclusivity, I'd consider it," he said. Leguizamo is currently promoting his new MSNBC series 'Leguizamo Does America," which features the actor traveling from city to city in the United States highlighting Latino stories. He's also currently starring in "The Power" on Prime Video alongside Toni Collette, Toheeb Jimoh, and Auli'i Cravalho.
